Who we are and where to find us
We are at least the fourth generation to keep bees, and the counting only stops because the records do. Before Canada it was hives on the family dairy farm in England. Milk and honey, they called it.

Little things can make a big difference. Extra special care is taken in extraction to preserve the smooth flavour and natural essence of our honey.

Meet Emily
Emily Huxter is at least the fourth generation of her family to keep bees. She ran her first grafts as a teenager, beside her mother, Liz Huxter. Liz is one of the most respected queen breeders in Canada. Every Wild Antho queen comes from her line.
Before bees were her full-time work, Emily spent 14 years as a hydrologist with Environment Canada. She still measures everything. The farm screens its breeder colonies for hygienic behaviour. After the 2021 heat dome, Emily ran a hive cooling trial on the farm with UBC researcher Dr. Alison McAfee.
Emily is a trustee of the Boone Hodgson Wilkinson Trust Foundation, which funds bee research in B.C. Today Wild Antho raises queens, nucleus colonies, and honey on Round Prairie Road, just outside Armstrong, B.C.

Honey, raw beeswax, and beeswax candles are available year-round. Pickup at the farm, or find the honey in a few local shops.
